The Mobile Service Platform for every business

The MSP solution for mobile business is not only useful for sales, it also benefits service activities. Mobile business increases employee productivity and makes the company more adaptable to market conditions. We checked how the Slovenian developed mobile service platform (MSP) is used by domestic companies.

The MSP solution was developed by the i-Rose company from Laško. It is a unified environment intended for field use. It is available in many languages, and provides companies with transparent work and traceability of processes made on the field, and enables advanced integration into business environments. With the introduction of MSP, they gain access to the best industrial practices, with which they extend work from offices or transfer it to the field. Improving the quality of communication between employees and the mobile solution also bring a more responsive business and higher productivity.

“Establishing an MSP environment ensures that the customer minimizes risk, and this solution is increasing together with the company. We are definitely the right address for the development and implementation of the mobile business component, as we have many years of experience in implementing business mobile solutions, so we advise customers in establishing appropriate process support and optimizing the implementation of field tasks,” said Janez A. Korun, CEO at i-Rose. In addition to their use in mobile sales and their promotion, domestic and foreign companies also use MSP in asset management, service and maintenance activities and inspection services. The classic use of MSP can be effectively perfected with the Internet of Things (IoT) module, establishing a single IoT environment and ensuring the rapid flow of information between devices, the environment and end-users. It guides MSP users through the work process, provides support for installation and ordering of parts, history of interventions, access to technical documentation, etc.

Aircraft maintenance
At Adria Airways Tehnika, they take care of the maintenance of aircraft at the Jože Pučnik Airport, as well as their appearance. Maintenance of passenger aircraft consists of so-called line and base maintenance. In the first, during regular flights at the airport, they provide maintenance services to airlines, including Adria Airways, and in the second, technicians perform extensive inspections of aircraft and, if necessary, maintenance. The MSP environment is used by Adria Airways Tehnikas technicians to perform line maintenance at Ljubljana, Pristina and Lodz airports. The work order, which is completed by the technicians upon intervention, ensures the monitoring of all data on the performed intervention, including the flight crew confirming the performed works by signing the tablet. Electronic copies of completed work orders are sent to the addresses of the client and Adria Airways Tehnika after the completion of the work. By using MSP, the company wants to further improve the traceability of work performed and automate the billing of services provided. “The introduction of the mobile service platform had an immediate impact on business. We have noticed an increase in interventions, as the maintainers enter them on a regular basis and do not forget about them. As the administrator of the solution, I am pleased that the MSP is working flawlessly on the field” said Dragan Ignjić, IT administrator at Adria Airways Tehnika.

ATM maintenance
At the beginning of the year, the MSP application was also used in the Printec – Printec SI group, which provides various high-tech solutions and services to financial institutions and international retail chains. For example, it also takes care of the maintenance of ATMs and retail cash registers. In order to integrate data more efficiently, reduce the number of paper work orders and shorten administrative work on the field, a solution (the MSP application) was introduced in January. This works comprehensively, as based on the reported request for field intervention, the coordinator in the back office opens a work order, which the engineer in charge of performing the service receives on his tablet in the MSP application. The back office schedules tasks in accordance with contractual obligations to each client. The engineer shall record the work procedure for the assigned task. He will record the equipment used for the procedure, the consumption of materials and hours spent, and any additional costs on the work order. The customer will sign the orders on the tablet in the MSP application.

After the service, a PDF record of the service order is created in the application, which the customer can receive by e-mail if he so wishes. Communication with the back office is also established, and the completed service order is also recorded in the back office system. “The effects on business are obvious and very positive after three quarters of the year. One of the immediate positive effects of the introduction of the MSP application in the work of technicians is the replacement of paper work orders on the field and the reduction of the administrative work of technicians. It is also faster to resolve possible complications, as the service is immediately recorded in our back-office system and we also receive feedback from the field much faster, which greatly facilitates coordination and operation of the back office. The MSP also provides information to the end customer,” says Katarina Pečar, analyst at the Printec SI company.
