JOŽE LOGAR:
The electronic bookstore of the Mladinska knjiga publishing house is actually a presentation of this publishing house on the internet, where it has appeared on June 22nd this year.
It is mainly intended for individual users, readers and fans of books and other publishing publications. For professional users such as booksellers, librarians, teachers and institutions the information on the internet is a welcomed support in searching, as we can browse the catalog by several criteria such as titles, authors, product types, content sets and collections. The majority of the presentation is currently devoted to the product catalog. These are books, video cassettes, CDs, audio cassettes, CD-ROMs from the publishing and sales program of the Mladinska knjiga Publishing House. Special emphasis are placed on individual permanent sections, such as the book catalog, special benefits and pre-orders, weekly news, magazines, notices and, of course, ordering. All book and other editions from the publishing and sales program of the Mladinska knjiga publishing house are included in the book catalog.
The catalog is constantly updated, currently there are 2400 products entered in it. In addition to basic information, most products have a title, author, product type, number of pages, binding, retail price, availability, etc. Also a cover image and a brief description of the content are added. The Mladinska knjiga publishing house will also offer special benefits for browsers. Under the favorable offers, pre-orders for important book editions, which are sold before publication at special lower prices, are also presented on the Mladinska knjiga internet page.
Some important projects are further presented even with a video. Along with each presented product, there is of course a button for selecting and ordering, which allows you to write any number of products and copies in the order form. The user sends the form by e-mail via the server directly to the computer information system of the Mladinska knjiga publishing house, where the order is processed and displayed the next day as an order for sending the ordered goods. Delivery from the warehouse to the post office is provided within 24 hours of the order, so the book is delivered to the customer within 2 to 3 days. Currently, the sales catalog only supports the option of paying with cash upon delivery, and in the future, customers will also be able to pay with their credit cards and installments for pre-orders. An even better tool for professional use is a special electronic catalog developed by the Mladinska knjiga Publishing House’s computer center and already used by their representatives to order books in bookstores. In the future, this tool will also be enabled for direct ordering to stores and larger customers.
