i-Rose has been present on the Internet for almost two years. Among their products is the online catalog of the Mladinska knjiga publishing house, and they are also finishing testing the possibility of secure credit card payments via the Internet. The protocol was developed together with the Slovenian Diners Club, and the existing SET 1 standards and recommendations were used as a basis in the parts where they are most useful.

“Internet presence needs to be taken much more seriously than most people in Slovenia take it. Page tags in production, late data, unupdated pages have nothing to look for in this network,”said Janez A. Korun, CEO of i-Rose. Real-time and fast updating can only be achieved by automating certain tasks as much as possible and closely connecting websites to the internal information system. At i-Rose, this connection is strengthened mainly from two aspects: from the point of view of disseminating data created in the company and intended for publication ( for example catalogs), and from the point of view of using data from the Internet (data exchange, data extraction – APP, exchange rates, stock exchange rates) in the internal information system.
