Tracking a reusable package with i-Track

This year, at the Drinktec fair in Munich, the company i-Rose from Laško presented its own technological solution called i-Track, intended for the management of various assets, such as packages, devices and reusable machines. The solution results in lower costs, which are especially important in times of the current crisis, as they improve economic indicators for every company. The advantage of the i-Track technology solution, according to i-Rose, is not only lower costs, but also more efficient management and better responsiveness. A technological system developed in Laško is used for tracking and efficient asset management.

The i-Track solution uses RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology. The latest technologies have been used to develop the system, ensuring the accessibility of the system wherever there is an Internet connection.

The implementation of the entire i-Track system is enabled by software, tracking terminals and RFID tags. These are just a few millimeters large elements that can identify the means to which they are attached via radio waves. The elements can be active or passive, especially in cases where the resources are relatively large.

Last year, the project was already presented at the Brau Beviale trade fair in Nuremberg. This year, i-Rose introduced an improved solution designed to integrate into the customers business process. In addition, i-Rose is cooperating with Pivovarna Laško in the project of introducing RFID technology into production.

According to i-Rose CEO Janez A. Korun, there was a lot of interest in the i-Track solution at the Drinktec fair. He added: “It is true that i-Track is introduced at a time when the industry is trying to optimize all aspects of their management and is willing to invest in such solutions.”

The Drinktec trade fair, the world’s largest trade fair, which presents the latest technological solutions in the field of beverages and liquid food, took place from 14 to 19 September in Munich. The fair, held every four years, was visited by 60,000 people from 170 countries this year.
