The earthquake in Ljubljana documented on a CD

On the centenary of the catastrophe, NUK issued CDs containing photographs of Wilhelm Helfer

CDs, prepared by NUK in cooperation with the company i-Rose (the author of the accompanying text and editor of the publication is Veselin Miškovič, the design was done by Andreja Medvedič and the consultants were Peter Krečič and Viktor Tančič), present material from the time when Ljubljana got the features of a modern city.

After the earthquake, the city council ordered photographs of the destroyed city: Wilhelm Helfer prepared a folder with large-format photographs, on which there were houses intended for demolition. In a nice leather box, he added a series of smaller photographs to the county, in which he managed to capture the atmosphere of the days after the earthquake. Postcards, plans and newspaper articles have been added to this material at NUK, which supplement the knowledge of the Ljubljana catastrophe, and as is usual for such products, the appropriate text can be searched for with key words.

The CD will cost much less than the book version, only around four thousand tolars, and the minimum system requirements for the computer to run this program are as follows: PC 386 DX / 40, VGA. Windows 3.1 +, 4MB RAM, CD-ROM.
